Social Media Engagement Manager

Valente Consulting is seeking a highly motivated individual with experience and passion for social media and driving culture change to adapt to this new world of blogging, micro-blogging and online/digital engagement. This is an opportunity to work in fun, fast-paced business and contribute to a relatively new social media program.

Responsibilities include:

Drive sustained SQL Server social media engagement on various channels: team blog, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube. Manage the editorial calendar offering a detailed view of the communication plan, including contributions from a variety of internal stakeholders and external partners and influencers. This includes coordinating and engaging all parties’ participating in this process.

Manage social media campaigns. Work with vendor to ensure all needs of current campaign are addressed effectively. Collaborate with marketing team to complement business initiatives with social media campaigns as needed.

Run the Amplify program. Spread product news and announcement via a broad array of online channels, both internal and external, extending the reach of our messages. Continue to identify new channels and opportunities to drive word-of-mouth.

Manage Digital Conversation Insights program, delivering a detailed summary of buzz and sentiment, working with a vendor to create, review and update quarterly reports, complementary analysis to ongoing research and warning/opportunity detection to inform the engagement editorial calendar.

Manage influencer program. Continue to invite and seed news and messages to members of the top SQL Server bloggers restricted LinkedIn group. Identify new opportunities to engage with influencers and promote them: feedback for messaging, educate on upcoming technologies and more.

Own the internal Community site – upload pertinent documents, social media best practices and guidelines, as well as news and information for the boarder team regarding all current and in-progress social media activities.

Maintain social media scorecard.

Desired qualifications:

8 years experience in Marketing and social media strategy and execution specifically.

BA and MBA a plus

Excellent communication skills and comfortable with high paced environment

Great cross group collaboration skills and comfortable with ambiguity
